- "I made an appointment at another
clinic. I waited four hours and they hadn’t
even called me. I was very upset, having an
abortion is hard enough as it is, and I went
home. I called Womancare, they promised me
I wouldn't have to wait. I was in the building
less than three hours. It was not crowded
at all, they were very nice to me."
- "When I found out I was pregnant, I
told my mother about it. It was a very bad
time for me, I just couldn't have the baby.
My mother told me she had an abortion more
than twenty years ago. She told me to call
Womancare. It was the same doctor, he’s
still there. That made me feel more comfortable."
- "The clinic is very nice. It’s
clean, especially the bathrooms."
- " I was very upset when I went to my
appointment. I couldn't go through with it
the first time. They were very nice to me,
and they allowed me to make another appointment.
This time it went really well. I liked that
they didn't try to force me into staying the
first time."
- "They were playing music in the surgery
room. I told them I wanted to hear Beatles
music. The doctor said he had some on his
iPod, and they changed it for me. I really
liked that."
- "I was terrified when I went into the
surgery room. The sedation really helped,
but I was still scared. I was only in there
for a few minutes. When I got to Recovery
I thought ‘this was nowhere near as
bad' as I had feared."
- "I went to another clinic in Orlando
and they had a ton of protesters. I just couldn't
walk through them. I called Womancare, the
clinic is in the same building as the police,
and there are no protesters. I felt really
secure."
